Hello, Reader!
Originally, I started posting some guides when I was just starting out in EVE (hence the name, A Fledgling Capsuleer). I have been playing EVE for over a year now, and in that time I have tried just about everything that this sandbox game has to offer. I have not spent considerable time living in 0.0 (null sec) parts of New Eden yet, but there has to be something else new to try to keep the game entertaining. So, in a way, maybe I'm saving the best for last.
Starting out in EVE may seem like a very daunting task at first. Unlike other games, the learning curve is quite steep and many new players quickly find themselves lost in how to proceed next in-game. This is especially true for players that prefer to be solo rather than joining a corporation.
Having answered many questions in-game as well as going through the same obstacles in the beginning, I have decided to create a blog containing guides and tips/tricks for what to do, how to proceed and simply document interesting aspects of EVE.
There are many great guides on the web about EVE, but some of them may be too detailed or confusing for a new player to sift through. Others are outdated and likely do not reflect the current game mechanics. So I try to give my take on the gameplay, explaining the reasoning behind my choices, offering alternatives and generally supplementing other guides out there.
If you have any questions or would like me to cover a certain aspect of EVE, please don't hesitate to leave a comment and I will do my best to answer.
